What is the Nyquist sampling rate for each of the following signals?

A low-pass signal with bandwidth of 150 KHz?

SOLUTION:

Low - pass signal fl = 0 Hz

Fh = fl + BW

Fh = 0 + 150 KHz

Fh = 150 KHz

Nyquist Sampling rate = 2 x 150 k

Nyquist Sampling rate = 300000 sample per second

b. A band-pass signal with a bandwidth of 250 kHz if the lowest frequency is 100 kHz?

SOLUTION:

Band pass signal fh = fl + BW

Band pass signal fh =100k + 250k

Band pass signal fh = 350Khz

Nyquist Sampling rate = 2 x 350 k

Nyquist Sampling rate = 700000 sample per second
